Research Interest:    My research works are mainly highlighted on AMR (Antimicrobial Resistance) and Multidrug Resistance Genes in bacteria along with Zoonotic Disease (Bovine tuberculosis/Tuberculosis), Antibiotic residues and foodborne diseases in relation to Food Safety. Multidrug Resistance Genes in bacteria includes antiseptic and antibiotic resistance genes, eg. qacA, qacB, smr, qacG, qacH, qacE & qacE.1 in S. aureus, aminoglycoside modifying enzyme (AME) genes in enterococci and staphylococci, tetracycline resistance genes in enterococci, MRSA, mecA homologues in staphylococcus sciuri, analysis on insertion sequence IS431 in staphylococci, ESBL producing E coli along with genes and virulence factors etc.    Determination of Bovine tuberculosis, their mode of transmission from animal to human and         human to animal along with genetic study of different Mycobacterium species complex for      controlling tuberculosis. Genetic Study on Rotavirus includes cloning of noncult vatable rotaviruses by single primer amplification, Reassortment and Rearrangement of group A rotaviruses, Serotyping of rotaviruses, genetic analysis of group B rotaviruses etc. Development of Mobile Veterinary Clinic (MVC) to provide veterinary services at farmers doorsteps which reduce calf morbidity and mortality as well as spreading of diseases and increase productivity of animals.
